Las Puertas

This collection was inspired while on a painting workshop trip to San Miguel De Allende, Mexico in February, 2022. I had two goals for this small work series. The first was to push my comfort level through abstraction of an image. I tend to be too literal in my work and wanted to challenge that habit. The second was to introduce the color red into my work. I never use the color red, ever. If you are familiar with my paintings, you'll know what I'm talking about!
